While I was waiting in the car for my husband to return with a few groceries, I observed some things that as an ER nurse working in a pandemic really bothered me. I have been to stores recently that have been taking extra precautions but this H-E-B in particular was not. A lot could be prevented with some simple changes. The attendants gathering the carts and taking them back to the store were not wearing gloves and touching every single cart handle, then would touch their phones and then their faces. I also noticed that there was no one dedicated to cleaning the carts after every use. So the employees and customers touching the carts could be exposed to many germs that could be prevented with a few simple sanitizing protocols. My husband visited the H-E-B in HUTTO last week and was raving about how great and on it they were with social distancing and how many people were allowed in at a time. This H-E-B for some reason did not have the same rules. I love H-E-B and feel that your company should be ahead of the curve in prevention for the safety of their employees and customers.
