We purchased double wall ovens model MED302JP VO5 for a new build that we moved into 6/2017<br /> We immediately had to have repair service several times on this appliance during the warranty period.<br /> We have used the clean oven setting since 2017 without incident. However, we recently used the clean oven setting &amp;;the door did not open upon completion. Four calls were made for customer service assistance &amp; not one answer helped to resolve the problem, Two customer service assistants recommended turning the oven off at circuit breaker &amp; then rebooting . This was not the answer. Another two merely told us to have the door removed by an appliance repair company. The repair company arrived &amp; we were told that our problem was not unique<br /> &amp; was due to manufacturers faulty release mechanism for the door. The repair person merely used a wire hanger to release a lock catch to get the door open that cost $100.<br /> Yes, We are out of the warranty period but we have now had many in warranty &amp; now an out of warranty problem. We strongly feel that the wall ovens are defective &amp; would like Thermador to look into this matter &amp; send us a reply
