I was recently informed about HEB's misguided decision to remove the My Pillow products from its shelves. It is deeply disturbing to learn that HEB has decided to bend a knee and join the cancel culture mob. Grocery shopping is supposed to a an apolitical task. It is perhaps the last refuge where people of all ideologies can come together and escape the destructive political environment we i habit. But no anymore. Because now HEB has ruined it. Why would HEB choose to inject politics into my grocery experience? After all the pain our country has been through why would HEB choose to add fuel to the fire by taking such unnecessary action? Virtue signaling? Does HEB not have any respect for people who hold opposing views? By canceling the My Pillow company and it's owner Mike Lindell you are in effect engaging in censorship which places you in the same company as Facebook, Twitter, Google, and its ilk. This is destructive. This is anti-American. The truly sad part is you are censoring a business man whose backstory should be an inspiration to all. Mike Lindell's journey from addict to successful businessmen embodies the true spirit of our country. A man who overcame addiction and through faith and perseverance was able to start a company that provides hundreds of jobs to former addicts. And you are destroying his like because he is exercising his First Amendment rights? Will<br /> HEB bar me and thousands of Texas who share Mr. Lindell's beliefs from shopping at HEB? Because is where you are headed with this kind of nonsense. More important, why would HEB be complicit in the destruction of hundreds of jobs and livelihoods of forrmer addicts who thanks to Mr. Lindell had a second chance to regain their dignity and rebuild their lives through gainful employment? Since now HEB is officially in the business of politicizing products, I challenge you subject every product on your shelves and them to the same political litmus test. I suggest you start with products that you currently carry that originate from repressive countries who engage in slave labor, who are the worst polluters of our planet, who do not pay their employees subsistence wages.... you get the point. What is good for the goose should be good for the gander. Last year the same leftist mob tried to cancel the CEO OF Goya. But Mr. Unanue did not bend his knee. He stood up to the mob and said BASTA! For his courage he was rewarded with sales that went through the roof. Americans recognize courage and reward it accordingly. But they also recognize cowardice. Personally and many others like me will begin to curtail our shopping visits to HEB. We got the message loud and clear. Drop Dead Conservatives. You are not welcome any more.
