Original Comment I have been a customer of yours for many years. I drive 30 minutes to my nearest Trader Joe's because my town does not have one (YET, I hope LOL). In 2020 your company FINALLy decided that your caricature names of ethnic foods would be removed and I was so glad. I had been complaining for years but I was one voice. Thanks to Ms. Bedell and your own Kenya Friend-Daniel you began the change to really stand up to your statement. "We are committed to continuously improving diversity and inclusion throughout every aspect of our business. We continue to dedicate ourselves to doing the work, every day, to ensure Trader Joe's is an environment that is safe, welcoming, inclusive, and respectful for all Crew Members and customers." I did not feel included or welcomed or respected when I was shopping for items and saw the way you chose to label your food. It is 2022 and I still see photos of products bearing the racist names on your website and I hope that is an oversight. The name Trader Joe tells me it will be free from high fructose corn syrup, it will be priced fairly and that it will be delicious. You don't need anything else in the name to show us that. Thank you for making the change and I hope your company will continue to grow and know that we appreciate the changes you are making.
