Walgreens Corporate Office Comments

In addition to my prior comment: Walgeen's does NOT address customer issues. Instead the customer is routed to JUST ANSWER to whom you have to pay money before you even speak with anyone. Wanna bet whether the person you MIGHT eventually speak to knows anything at all about Walgreen's??

Posted by Frank

I could not have said it all better than Karen did at 16:24 on 03.07.2024. I do not have the EXACT same issues but, overall, it sounds VERY familiar. I might add that I have a degree in Management Information Systems from the University of Houston with a GPA of 3.96/4.00. I worked for "the man" for eight (8) years then opened my own computer consulting firm which thrived for twenty (20) years. I say all this to establish my authority in saying that your automated systems are VERY inaccurate and STINK. Your VP of MIS should be fired and replaced. Additionally, a pharmacy tech at Walgreen's told be a bald-faced lie which I shared with the local district manager. He promised to get back to me within a week; I never heard from him. So Walgreen's Upper Management disseminates bald-faced lies also.

I am so frustrated with the way you run your company. I have had problems since covid with them and after reading a list of complaints to your company I see it isn't just my walgreens in Clarkston Washington. Having worked in the medical field and pharmacy myself, I am flabbergasted that you call this kind of service a pharmacy to and for the public. I have complained before and the manager at the store a very nice PROFESSIONAL Lady handle the problem with the pharmacy. To which the pharmacist there did straighten up her antics for about 2 months. Now she is back to putting you on hold with not saying one word as she leaves you there and when it rings back she does it for about 4 times then it rings and rings and rings and she starts the whole process again. Now I have always liked Walgreens because many of us in my family have followed through with pharmacy and worked for Walgreens pharmacies. But on that note not one of us would have lowered ourselves to this kind of treatment for a patient. Not even the younger kids who had chose to be licensed pharmacy technicians. We represented a medical field and held that to the highest standard of care. I would like to suggest to you to please do a thorough scan of your complaints and figure out what is not working here and address it. If you need help I will be of assistance to do so. Thank you sincerely for your time, Karen Hunt

Just curious as to why there has not been better care of the lawn and exterior of this store. It is visited by many daily, on a very busy intersection and it's an eye sore! Great Bend has MANY lawn care services available that could be utilized to make this store more appealing and inviting to customers. What will it take to hire someone to take care of this need? Thank you for you time and attention to this matter.

Posted by Anonymous

The Walgreens corner in Great Bend, Kansas looks terrible - weedy, unmowed, dead trees, dying grass, lines needing painted in the parking lot. The lack of lawn care makes the business look like it's not successful and practically abandoned. I understand that corporate insists on controlling the care of the property rather than allowing local management to handle it. Clearly this system is failing the image of Walgreens in our community. Can this be fixed?

I've been with Walgreens for a long time, but lately the service has been very disappointing! I was scheduled to have surgery and was prescribed Norco quantity of 10, Walgreens sent me a text saying the prescription was having an issue with the insurance company and they were working with the insurance company and no action was required by me. So I waited up until the day before my surgery with no more response from Walgreens, so I called and they said the insurance company would only prescribe 7 instead of ten. So I said okay you should have communicated this to me instead of saying no action required by me. I told them to fill it with the quantity of 7, and ended up getting the day of surgery. This caused a lot of hassle and inconvenience for me and the person driving me to surgery and picking up the prescription. All of this could of simply been avoided if Walgreens would have communicated via text, email or phone call, this as soon as they found out instead me having to contact them when it was stated no action required from me! Now it happened a second time, saying the prescription was out of stock, they were working on getting in stock and no action required by me. Two days later I called and was t I told it's out of stock and that it would be in the day. I called again and was told that this was a expensive medication and that they were waiting for me to tell them I wanted them to fill the prescription. AGAIN, the status said no action required in my part!! How is a customer supposed to know that they are to call when it says no action required!! This is such poor, incompetent and very avoidable situation only if Walgreens would step up and have good customer service!
I called again today after being told the prescription would be in yesterday after 3, well of course walgreens failed again saying that it's out of stock and to check back again today after 2. This is so unacceptable, my prescription has been in there since Monday and today is Friday!! If I don't get it today, I will pull all of my prescription and take them to another pharmacy! Only one to blame is Walgreens!!!

Pharmacy at Walgreens located at 7001 Amboy Road, Staten Island, NY 10307
I went to the pharmacy last night at 6:45 pm on 3/27/23 - there was no one behind the counter. I called out, no one answered - I thought the pharmacy was closed.
I heard papers ruffling and called out again - "is anyone here?"
All of a sudden this woman (the pharmacist)steps out from behind the wall yelling "I'm on the phone with a customer" - that's why I didn't answer you and called me nasty!
I told her all you had to do was step out and say I'll be right with you - without yelling at me and the make believe customer on the phone.
Finally, this other girl stepped out from the other side and helped me.
This rude and nasty behavior is uncalled for.
I walked out of Walgreens last night so upset that I returned to tell the evening manager what happened.
The other employee told me that they get a lot of complaints about her. I don't know her name. She has long blond hair with dark glasses and is about 50 years old
I still remain very upset over this and I want to know how corporate will handle this.
This should not be allowed.
Please respond.

Have fixed a problem previously, with the 28 day thing on Norco.
They close the store the day I was supposed to pick up last month.
Well I closed the pharmacy.
So that makes me have to drive back 45 miles on Friday every month forever.
Before I let them minus eight so I could pick up on my due date so I can get back on track.
I have literally spent all day on the phone with customer service not listening.
You really need some listening skills to talk to your customer service they don't even tell you they're transferring you they just transfer you.
Now I know there's a pharmacy number that helps me with the store pharmacy.
However your headquarters doesn't seem to know that and I know there's one because I've talked to them before.

I had to get established before I could get my medicine I am a cronic pain patient for fithteen years I was getting my pain medicine for about four years and they just snached me off my medicine they had already talked to the pharmacist two or three times and the she would not really listen she was nasty and my doctor well not talk with her again so I am the one who is suffering and I understand that they have a policy but I will give them some of my medical information cause know I'm almost bed ridden. I did talk to someone but he's not going to help me and I don't want to go any further but they are not giving me a choice so I tried to work this out with them I was hoping we could but they are not so I am going to pray about it first and then I will decide if I should go another way. I'm under the American Disability Act and my rights have been violated and my health they are hurting me me and my mental situation is not good I know that it's my pain so I hope they are happy but that power they have on the people needs to be looked at. Look what's happening in our nation all I know is I tried very hard but I'm tired of not being able to do what I use to do I have grandkids and I can't get up not like I use to so you can say Walgreens their pharmacist has just taken away my life what I could do I can't anymore cause they want fill my medicine. They say good faith they have no compassion what so ever I guess I am going to have to talk to my lawyer I told him I wanted to try to work this out with out any legal stuff but that's what they want well I have been made to do what I am going to do my records will tell it all. They should have named Walgreens power house cause that's what is happening here it's all about power and position they don't care about people like me and I know this for a fact for about four years I had know problems and then all of a sudden they snached my life from me but I have to find someone to help me cause I can't stand the pain and the way I have been treated. I believe that I could just leave this world and I wouldn't be hurting I'm in so much pain who would go through what I have been discriminated against but who wants to go through all this bull crap I just don't know what else to do.

Just watched your TV ad about how safe your stores are during the pandemic Not your store in Crestwood, MO. The store is filthy. The floors are dirty and disgusting The baskets add not clean and the counters are gross You might want to discuss with the manager

Posted by Concerned

I walk into Walgreens to help out someone and I'm appalled that Walgreens is not taking precautions to protect their employees. Other businesses are putting up shields, taking cards only and the place that's supposed to be "on the corner or happy and HEALTHY " is nothing but that. Your silence speaks volumes.

trying to deal with your store in Monticello N.Y. is impossible I changed from Shoprite pharmacy to deal with your store but i can not ever get to call a associate. They never get on the phone to talk about prescriptions . they leave a call back number and never pick up the phone. I will go back to Shoprite because they ,at least able to answer our calls.

Walgreens does NOT want us to "be well". I had such a problem getting my pain meds the Pharmacist told me to "go some where else from now on" real professional. Than today, a year later I took my mothers pain med. script for them to fill and she told me to "Go to CVS" that she didnt' feel "Comfortable with filling it because I used cvs before". I used that same dang pharmacy the last time I filled it for my mother. WHat the heck is wrong with this person. The lady next to me, at the drive thru had the same problem. I listened in and she told her "she didn't feel comfortable filling her pain meds and to go to CVS". This is unreal. THe walgreens store numer is #06832. I fought with her on the phone so she had no idea it was someone she already insulted. It's CVS for mom to know. To heck with walgreens cvs is so much nicer anyway. Walgreens are rude and act like they are a little god or something.

My whole family has been getting prescriptions at Walgreens on HWY 6 corner of williamtrace for the past 10 years, especially my elderly mother a few prescriptions everyone month. The pharmacy manager and his pharmacist are extremely caring, knowledgeable and patient to the customers. The manager called me one day to inform me that my mother came in that day to pick up her prescriptions and he noticed She looked tire and confused. A few years ago on the weekend in the late afternoon, I went in to get antibiotic for my son, unfortunaly Wallgreens did not take our insurance at that time, he was afraid I might not get the antibiotic that night, he offered and called another pharmacy near by to make sure they accept the insurance and have it in stock. I went straight there right before the pharmacy close and had the antibiotic for my son that night. Recently, My mother had to temporally stop taking her regular medicine and her pains (joints) started to surface. Doctor was struggling to find a replacement because it would make her current illness worse. When I talked to the pharmacist, he recommended a prescription. I then asked the doctor for it and this medicine worked for my mother. I am so grateful and thankful to all the pharmacists and the staffs and this Walgreens location. I am willing to drive extra miles to get my prescriptions with them.

On June 13, Ms.Toledo of your Berkeley store helped me find my way to the BART Station. I was visiting my granddaughter and being a senior was slightly overwhelmed by leaving my car, riding by rail to SF Civic Center and returning the same day. Ms. To led is a people person and a great asset. I am retired now but was ad Mr for a Fortune 500 company when I was 28. I went on to found five businesses from the period 1967 to 1986.

I have a coupon with a code on it to receive a sample beauty box can not find any way to redeem it the promo code would you be able to help me with this. I noticed there are alot of other women having the same problem. I think you need to honor these and to keep up your reputation with these coupons you freely give out.

Posted by Lindy550

I, like so many others, are trying to redeem our coupon promo code to get our sample box from Walgreens.com/beauty within....Why is Walgreens distributing these at your stores from the cashiers when they apparently are no good?? Either discontinue the scam or send the boxes....You'll find the other ladies on your webpage and when you send theirs, please send mine, too. Sincerely,

Friendly store??? I think not!!!! I used to love shopping in walgreens for many years. But recently the last couple of times that i have shopped there in the middle of the day i noticed that their employees are rude and have no kind of custoner training. THIS the store in New Britain Ct on Washington St. You think that the managers there would be any better but they seem like they are more concerned with...goodness I dont even know what. They treat customers like common criminals because you walk into their store with a large purse and they try to insist that someone leave their purse behind the counter. I understand policies and things to that nature but what i do not understand is what kind of training managers recieve withwalgreens. Word of mouth is the best advertisement and i am going to make sure everyone i know who shops at this location (07585) does not shop there any longer or the company trains their managers properly!

I am finally tired of it. My insurance is through my wife's company and they use CVS. So my wife and daughter use CVS but, no, I have been extremely loyal to Walgreens for at least the past 13 years. I normally use the Walgreens in Royal Palm Beach, Florida 33411 in the Publix shopping center. I have had 12 surgeries in the past decade. As such I have been on many meds including my current painkillers, Avinza and percocet. I am very loyal to this store and your Pharmacy manager (Larry) is outstanding, but the rest of pharmacists are suspect-in my opinion. I am separated from wife, so I live closer to work and I get my normal meds from those locally, but for avinza I still get from RPB store because of Walgreens paranoia of FDA. I went in last night to drop off my script and for the first time in 13!!!!!! years I was told I needed a drivers license to drop it off. I thought the woman was kidding. I am partially handicapped so for me to go back out to the far end of parking lot to get ID was in itself enraging. I have never, never, ever been asked to provide picture ID when dropping a script off in 13 years-so tell me-when did this policy change and if you tell me it has been in existence for awhile then one of two things is happening-either I am being discriminated against for being older and medicated, or the pharmacy staff is improperly trained and lack a common focus. Since I get meds every month, why all of a sudden am I asked last night? I also complained back in august about service in walgreen's in lantana and when pharmacist there wouldn't fill a drug, I changed to another location that would. By the way, that extra strength medicine he didn't prescribe-I ended up in JFK Hospital with pnemonia and this is verifiable. So, I am only one customer, but my insurance and I put out 12-14 thousand a year just for my meds and I am so tired of the inconsistencies. You have a store on every other corner-why don't you have a decent trainer to imbue each staff with consistency. Alright enough of my opinions. I have 4 different walgreens that I have used because of work and homes, but I am so tired of the shoddy treatment. I am not a felon, a crack head. I work for a living and I am so tired of being treated like crap because I need a lot of meds. The discrimination of me and my medical needs are a very sore point with me, after all, you are a pharmacy-so why do you continue to exacerbate the situation by making it harder for those of us with true ailments to get meds effortlessly instead of making look like you are doing us a favor. While I was there last night, I went out to car and went back inside and a woman came up to window at same time so I let her go first, and she wasn't "carded". CVS might not be the answer, but obviously I have worn out my welcome with your group. morgan white

Walgreens is not a drugstore any longer it is a convenience store that has more interest in selling groceries than the profession of pharmacy.
they have driven out the small independant pharamcy and replace it with a chain of stores selling groceries. My advise try and find an independant pharmacy and give thme your business.

The store located at Capital Plaza in Austin, TX is the worst place to shop. The pharmacy is so bad snd Management does not want to do anything about it. I hsvetried for sevetal days to check on a prescription and one day sat on hold for over an hour. I tried again in the evening and wss on hold over 30 minutes! Neither time did anyone ever answer the phone. I called back and did reach a manager andhe tried to say he thought there were phone issues. How did he answer on the service line if there were issues? He then said i was the third person who called to complain about the pharmacy. Really??? And still nothing done? So i went there to see if my script was done. Three people finally started calling custmers up. The one young girl finished and i wss next, well the blond lady wss having issues locating s script that had been dropped off the day before snd asked the young girl to take over. Then the blond proceeded to stock, while there wss a long line down the isle. I waited 10 more minutes and finally went to the window to tell the blond there was a long line that needed to be taken care of. She wss rude, huffy and very discourtious!! I have a degree in marketing and have worked in retail and management. Someone needs to step in and fix this store ir clise it. I have been a walgreens customer for yrs and i am pulling all my meds, from Walgreens and changing over to CVS. I have monthly scripts that need filled and then all the extras i pick up while there. I know one person is not enough, but i have alot of friends and i do talk. In todays economy, you would think they would be doing EVERYTHING to keep customers.

Hi I recently experienced horrible customer service in the pharmacy dept. I've been a loyal customer for the past 10 years and I don't play about my medications. Recently the pharmacist manager name Monique at 1891 Barataria Blvd. located in Marrero,La was beyond RUDE!! The staff needs to take classes on customer service satisfaction because with leadership disrespecting their customers the staff are doing the exact thing with no repercussions at all. I believe if Walgreens doesn't care about greeting customers with a smile, I'll just take my business elsewhere. Oh but I guess that's the motto they go by because that's exactly what the pharmacist told me if I don't like it to "take my business elsewhere " I guess they don't mind losing customers and money. I'm beyond frustrated and will no longer go to this Walgreens ever again.

Just so all you walgreen shoppers know. When you are checking out and the clerk asks you if you would like to use your reward points today, and you say yes. Know that you will not be receiving any reward points on anything you have purchased during that transaction. So, say you just purchased the Vicks Nyquil on the front of this weeks ad and are expecting to receive 1,000 points, you will not receive them. One of walgreens clerks did not even know this! ALWAYS.. a catch!! Walgreens used to be one of my favorite places to shop. But, prices have gone way up overnight, it seems and I hear from many lately that they don't shop there much anymore either.

I have had at least a dozen scripts filled at the Walgreens located at 690 Martin Luther King JR BLVD. Then one day about 2 months ago, Iwas told by the pharmacist that they are not going fill my script because I was from Flint. I told him my boyfrind stays here in Pontiac and I have never had problems before with the other guy that works here. Then he and his assistant just kept saying we are not servicing any one from Flint, we are only servicing the people from Pontiac. I told other pharmacist here in Pontiac what was told to me repeatedly, they all said the same thing, They said, he should have never had said that to you. They kept using the word servicing over & over again,I am not a car I am a person who needed her meds.

No one answers phone on Friday 12/14/12 at 11:45 am Your Balance Rewards coupon received today @11:10 am is not worth the paper it is printed on as must be used 12/15 or 12/16. I have more important things to do in the next 2 days, hosting a dinner party, transporting children to Christmas Eve Church program rehearsal, sing two services on Sunday and attend another community event. Also local store was out of selection of advertised special of 2/$9 so was charged full price for one No offer of rain check by uncaring clerk. You seem to have big problems at Walgreens. Noted overall rating 2.3 out of 5 when visited this site to find phone number!!!

As soon as I got insurance coverage, Walgreen's quadrupled the price of my compounded prescription! This is one reason why insurance costs so much. It was really coming out of my pocket since I had a deductible to pay.
Shame on you Walgreen's! I will not patronize your chain of stores again.

I transfered my Rx's to walgreens and did not recieve the $25 walgreens card. Guess why. I am on medicare even though my meds are covered by other insurance. I will absolutly not buy another item at walgreens and I will make sure everyone I know hears about this inequality.

I cant find your e-mail so I thought you might look here.

Wish to report that a certain Mr. Vaughn M. Rosario know for being a "quick change artist"

On or about or between the periods of 8 October to the present (I am sure) but it has been going on for a very long while the way I understand, the mentioned person along with 2 other men have been going into the stores along the Eastern Coast in particular the Southern States. He /they would make small purchases and confusing the cashiers and switch money how it all works I don't know however he does this deed as if it were a full time job. Although I have written the stores most hit by him and his team I felt I needed to take it one step further. Once again the go State to State.

As we get to the Christmas Holiday Season I heard him say that it's PAYDAY because the stores would be very busy. They hit stores at all times of the day and night. He said they like Wal-Mart because they hire dumb people. HIS WORDS

He also said that, Target has face recognition software so he does not go there often. The popular stores are:

• Wal-Mart's and Super Wal-Mart's

• Publix supermarkets

• Burlington Coat Factory

• Marshals clothing

• Ross Clothing and

Walgreens Centers and drug stores

The man does not work for a living has a few cars and a lux apartment in Miami. He is a manipulator and a con artist. I heard him say that his brother was stupid to get caught in L.A. (Vincent Rosario).

You may ask how I came across this information. My son was running around this individual and he almost got himself in to problem. He realized the danger.

His face book is:

The van in the photo is the auto he uses he just had Florida plats put on it, it may not be in his name. He lives in Miami Beach, Florida

I hope this information will be of some help,

Iam amazed at the poor treatment I just received from the person in the pharmacy department. I needed to have my husbands medication filled and the response I received was nasty, rude and left me feeling like a common criminal. We have the same medication filled at the Walgreens at US 1 and Prima Vista in Port St. Lucie Flordia. While I realize and totally understand being causious when filling prescriptions for certain types of medication. It is not acceptable to be spoken to with anything other than respec t. I asked to have this prescription filled at 1645 EST. The employee responded saying I'm not filling this, you have to have the doctors office called and a reason for the prescription. The voice tone and her body language was less than professional. I told her the doctors office was still open, which it was. She told me no its not. I asked her to please look at my husbands history and she would see that this is a regular medication which is filled monthly at this same location. Her response again was, what don't you understand. This is not getting filled. I explained that this is always filled here and that I have not been asked for the reason my husband takes the medication. I did not receive an answer. She returned the prescription and she walked away from the drive in window, not even giving me a chance to say anything else. We are very careful and have the medication filled at the exact time a new prescription would be available for processing by our insurance.

I am still speachless at her behavior and attitude. What a shame that people like my husband who rely on this type of medication are treated as if they are doing something wrong.

Walgreens-
You have some serious issue with your employees/managers. I recently starts shopping at your store a few months ago just to give you the benefit of doubt that after all these years maybe your policy toward customers service has changed but was I wrong. You have such rude, unprofessional workers and some managers speak to you as if I go in the store asking for charity. As of today, this will be my last and final trip shopping at your store. I'll make sure all my friends and family don't shop there as well. I'm more than happy to hand over my hard earning to a companies that would appreciate it with a smile not with such rudeness.

Friendly Neighborhood Drug Store ? I Think Not !!
A few years ago, I entered the Walgreen's on 1st and Tangerine to purchase Prilosec. To my amazement, it necessitated me locating a clerk to unlock the precious commodity. According to staff, it had a high potential for theft. I inquired at the time why they didn't place it behind the cash register, negating the hassle of waiting for staff to initiate the lock and key escapade. Yet another sign of the times, I thought, and accepted their policy.
This past Sunday, the 16th, however, I found that Walgreen's "new policy" had taken their Prilosec security measures to a whole new level. After finding staff and waiting for them to unlock the 'over-the-counter' medication, I was told staff would hold on to the Prilosec and I was to inform them when I completed my shopping, at which time they would bring it to the register for me to purchase.
Congratulations Walgreen's ! At 55 years old, I was well on my way to leaving this world having never experienced being treated as though I was untrustworthy. Perhaps not the most egregious act, but to those of us who live our lives making certain to give respect to all we meet, it comes pretty darn close. Is the potential threat of losing a few dollars really worth insulting the entire community?

I believe that Walgreens is hiring incompetent people. Most, not all do not have knowledge on how to deal with customers. Your compann needs to add this to their training program.. They may have a degree but they are incompetant on speaking with people, They are RUDE and talk to you like you are stupid.
They do not seem to care about their jobs, especially on the phone, This includeds some managers as well For example store 06866. The only store I liked was on Touhy Ave west of Harlem Ave. Chicago. The store 06866 makes many mistakes. They insisted, that my script was not there. They want to give the impression that they are always right and are very rude. They also need lessons on how to speak on the phone in a professional manner.!!

Thank you
